“…it is a pure primal architect of aggression. Please continue to knock us out and feed us those sweating bullets.” – Metal Temple
“Other than featuring a very cool album cover (there is a nice backpiece tattoo in there somewhere), this lot turn in some fine tunes for us with their Traits of the Sick recording. Instrumental shredding (Comatose Era), punk/thrash workouts ( The Door Slams Shut, Deadbeat Beatdown, The Narcissist, and Feed Them Bullets), and plenty of no-holds-barred Metal boogie….heavy guitars, lots of heavy drums – let’s face it, this is heavy everything. So, if you’re into the heavy stuff, here’s a great place to start!” – Wyrd Ways
“Each track is an individual burst of gunfire riffing and dito vocals, and the band sound very true and natural that it fair brings a tear of nostalgia to your eye. Bassist Eric Litinas and drummer Marc-Antoine Blackburn form two natural focus points as they work hard and sound tight throughout the album.” – RockUnited
“A nice blend of elements from around the metal universe wrapped in melodic thrash metal, Trainwreck Architect’s “Traits of the Sick” is nicely eclectic and sophisticated, and should appeal to fans of Death Angel, Anthrax and Annihilator.” – Metal Music Archives
“Direct and incisive, the Thrash of TRAINWRECK ARCHITECT has all to conquer you!” – Metal Integral
“Whatever you’re looking for in a metal album, these guys serve it up, moving from thrash, to classic metal, to rock, with even a slight punk edge at times. All these sounds combined could potentially have been a… trainwreck (haha, I’m so funny), but these guys pull it off, and not only pull it off, but do it excellently. This album is for fans of all metal genres. My suggestion to everyone is to throw on your dirtiest jean jacket, get a 12-pack of your favourite cheap beer, and give this record a listen. You will not be disappointed.” – Bucket List Music Reviews
“The approach that Trainwreck Architect have to their music is powerful and distinctive, it reaches out and touches the listener with its honesty. This is what these guys were born to do and no one will stop them from reaching their total heavy metal dominance. Suffice to say the future seems bright for these guys and I could see them and their unique sound going far. If you want to hear more of their unclassable metal madness be sure to check out their new record Traits of the Sick!” – Two Guys Metal Reviews
“One favorite is probably ‘ The Killers Breathe ’, featuring Jeff Waters (Annihilator) on guitar solos. But we can not also fail to mention the most “eared” as “ Dream Pariah . “ To finish the double “T he Narcissist”and” Feed Them Bullets ”continues to charge massive doses of pure aggression and lasts well established in the voracity of demonic vocals always well supported by portentous riffs. So, for all those who enjoy a good dose of primordial metal full of aggression and nostalgia, but also with some fun Rock to the mix, Traits OF The Sick is always a safe bet.” – Rock N’ Heavy
”This album is a perfect blend of pure metal, very well done!” – Quebec Metal
“Trainwreck Architect has their own diverse style that is hard to compare to other bands and this album proves it. Traits of the Sick is definitely an album worth giving a listen to.” – The Scene Magazine
“These architects of heavy pay homage to roots metal bands such as Dio and maple leaf legends, Annihilator, while adding popular loud sounds of today.” – Louder Than Hell
“Tearing up the stage from the moment the first chord is struck, the room is packed and the crowd is just as revved up as the band. Note after note tears through the air and charges the crowd and the band with a fury. Simon Ouellet bounces off stage with a roar and flies into the crowd and they love it. The band members are everywhere wreaking complete havoc and feeding their hungry fans. Technically precise and experienced they want this bad and after all of this, they deserve it! They are a well oiled machine and to comment on them individually would only blaspheme their sound as one entity and deplete the value of their clearly hard work. They break out into a tune tributed to the 80’s metal scene and it certainly does the decade justice. As Simon puts his shades to his face we take a train ride back in time and this is anything BUT a train wreck!!!” – Ondes Chocs
”Bands like Crossitution and Trainwreck Architect are blowing my mind in terms of talent, performance and initiative (as they are both unsigned)…Any metalhead who respects himself must listen to Trainwreck Architect” – Bang Bang Blog
“Let me tell you I had great expectations, since when doing some researches, I’ve read this on the band’s website: The meaning behind the band name is “Intelligently creating destruction and chaos” and we plan on putting that in your face when it comes to live performance. “ I can confirm they were not lying!..The singer’s voice is powerful and impressive, and the band members are full of energy. They offer Heavy metal with various influences. – Quebec Daily Rock
“…full of energy and stage presence, Trainwreck blasted their signature thrashy classic metal tones out to the crowd, causing probably the best moshing of the night. Trainwreck plays with their whole hearts, and has a great sound as far as aural enjoyment is concerned. They are tight and I simply can’t wait to see how far these boys go.” – Montreal Music Scene
“Trainwreck Architect has shown once again they feel like home on stage ! The singer, Simon Ouellet, opened the show by saying : “Don’t be fooled by the haircut, this isn’t an N’Sync tribute band!”. The band is really at ease on stage and their compositions are really catchy.” – Thorium Magazine
”I really enjoyed their hard rock attitude, coupled with a more modern metal edge, and was really into “Midnight Bitch” – which is a really catchy tune.” – The Scene Magazine
’’Excellent set, super tight. You know how to deal with the public, you have confidence, you know what you’re doing!’’ - Bart Frydrychowicz – Quo Vadis
“You Guys really kicked ass. That was tight, That was powerful, a fucking machine. Great frontman, and I’ve never heard a band introduced like that before. I love the band you guys are awesome.’’ - Vinnie Appice – Kill Devil Hill, DIO, Black Sabbath
’The whole job of a frontman, in my opinion, is…You wanna watch that guy, and you wanna hang out with that guy. I wanna hang out with you! I’ve never heard anyone introduce a band that originally and that well… You guys came to win. Fantastic job, one of the best bands so far in the contest. I do feel for the band that has to follow that… I have to be honest…” Jason Rockman – CHOM FM
”I really loved your punk rock attitude. I think the crowd reaction said it all. Greenland Productions would feel comfortable booking you anytime. You rock, pretty cool!’’ - Vincent Lafrenaye Lamontage – Greenland Productions
”Well, I have to say I really love your singer; the way he uses to set the notes and the words is so cool! The best songs to me are Dream Pariah and Rabid Psychotic Relapse, because the first one is very catchy and second one is extremely heavy.” - Carlos Cantatore – Former Annihilator Drummer

Inspired by life and charged with fast and heavy grooves, screaming solos and powerful vocals, Trainwreck Architect will bring you back to the roots of metal with a few surprises along the way.
“The band is inspired by life,” explains frontman Simon Ouellet. “Many things I’ve done in my life can be compared to a trainwreck. The many mistakes I’ve made have put me in some rough places, but in the end, I'm the one who made those choices, which leads me to believe I'm an architect of sorts.”
Bringing the fun of live rock into metal, a Trainwreck show is pure entertainment. “The ‘tough’ stuff has been done to death and, at the end of the day, I believe everyone would rather be happy and party than be angry and stand with their arms crossed in awkward silence,” says Ouellet.
The Montreal band, which describes its sound as “wreck n' roll”, will be releasing its first studio album, 'Traits of the Sick', this fall. Mastered by Jeff Waters of Annihilator, whom also makes a guest appearance with a guitar solo on the track 'As Killers Breathe', the record features an eclectic mix of thrash, classic metal and rock and deals with the idea of humans being human and never willing to be completely satisfied.
Because, let’s face it, there’s no such thing as perfection. It's impossible. There's a trainwreck architect inside us all.

“Infection Legacy is an unbelievable slab of bone-breaking, thrashing death metal that takes no prisoners and instantly pounds the listener into submission. The title track begins spreading the communicable disease with a fast-paced, crushing riff and eerie unnatural guttural growls, and from there the contagion grows like wildfire infecting your ears and eventually your psyche.
From a musical standpoint Infection Legacy is about as technical as it is heavy, with laser precision fret board wizardry that slices through the chaos like a hot knife through butter and drums that carry the rhythms along at a neck-snapping pace. It does not stop there though because the shock value continues on in the blood-soaked, carnage-filled lyrics that would easily fit into a Cannibal Corpse, Autopsy, or Exhumed record – by the end of it all the images that were conjured up made me feel as if I needed a shower to wash away all the filth!” – PureGrainAudio.com
“Death Toll Rising have presented us with an insane album and I just can’t stop listening to it! Every song on that record is good. Influences range from Suffocation and Necrophagist to things like Arsis and even some extreme thrash in there…I’d give this album a very high 9/10 for amazing song writing, great musical talents, spot on production and a very solid overall theme. The album sounds like a complete piece, well thought out and consistent. If these guys are ever nearby, I’ll be in the front row. No questions asked.” – Metal Made In Canada
“If you’re a fan of bands like Carcass, Death, Strapping Young Lad, At The Gates, etc, you definitely want to check this one out. ” – Kosher Metal
“Infection legacy is going to be a great addition to many a metal heads death or thrash collections and has enough proggy guitar in it to also appeal to prog fans who don;t mind their music to be a bit thrashy with it. I’ve listened to the album four times now and every time I just find myself sitting there going ‘this is brilliant’ and headbanging away.” – Wyrd Ways Rock Show Review
“Combining burly rhythms with charging riffs, Death Toll Rising deliver each track with a sense of urgency and energetic ferocity.” - Mouth For War (Review of 2010′s Defecation Suffocation)

Edmonton, AB hardcore metal band Lucid Skies is proud to unleash their four track EP 'Hounds', officially out today on November 26th, which is currently being supported by a Western Canadian tour w/ Bonfire (dates listed below). The EP is available on iTunes, Bandcamp, CD Baby and all major online retailers.
"'Hounds' is really the catalyst for us to tour. We are a live band and can't wait to play all these new songs for the people. We put so much into this EP and it's the initiation period for fans to get excited for the full length we have coming!" comments guitarist Jess Berger.
Track Listing – Hounds EP 1. Shotgun Mouthwash [Under The Gun Review] 2. Left Hook 3. With Eyes 4. Count Me Out
About: Fusing classic hardcore with infectious melodies, Lucid Skies bring aggression and stage banter that invites the crowd to become a part of the performance. Since their 2009 formation they have shared the stage with Fall City Fall, Blind Witness, Fall In Archaea, and Breaking Fourth Wall.
Their enticing vocals combined with melodic riffs allude to metal godfathers; Hatebreed (lyrically, vocally, and melodically) while sticking to their hardcore influences (Comeback Kid, Holly Springs Disaster). Instrumentally, Lucid Skies draws from d-beats, breakbeats, and breakdowns. Their EP 'Hounds' is peppered with chugging bass lines and complimented by rhythmic guitar arrangements.
Their origin of Lucid Skies is simple: Jesse Berger kick-started the process for collecting members and establishing a sound for the band in Edmonton in 2009. Soon after, Berger recruited Nick Ogden to enhance the overall aggression and build their signature sound. Many of the members would frequent Avenue Theatre (formerly Avenue Skatepark) and attend local and touring hardcore and metalcore shows. It seemed it was only a matter of time before Sam Jackson (Bass), was bullied by the band to join, and soon followed after by Justin Smith (drums) as the final member for Lucid Skies.
Western Canadian Tour Dates: November 26, 2013 – Verns – Calgary, AB November 27, 2013 – TBA – Saskatoon, SK November 28, 2013 – Humbolt Complex – Humbolt, SK November 29, 2013 – Swan Valley Regional – Swan River, MB November 30, 2013 – Elice Theatre – Winnipeg, MB December 1, 2013 – Park Community Centre – Brandon, MB December 2, 2013 – The Club – Regina, SK

“If you’re in the mood for something blistering awesome, then you gotta check out Lucid Skies‘ new track “Shotgun Mouthwash.” Combining elements of traditional hardcore with some wicked thrash riffing, the track comes off the band’s new four-track EP, Hounds…I can’t get enough of this track! From the intro to the way it just jumps into intensity to the early thrash breakdown, this song is massive in every aspect. It’s surprising that it clocks in at just over four minutes, but nothing is wasted (except your ears) and there’s not a shitty moment in the song.” – Yell! Magazine
“Each track is richly nuanced, and the EP features both thrashy aggression and hardcore gang vocals as well as brutal grooves and layered melodies. In particular, ‘With Eyes’ with its combination of grooves and melodeath elements and ‘Count Me Out’ with its experimental bass-drive, jungle beats, and punky feel are quite outstanding tracks which reveals loads of talent. In all “Hounds” is a successful EP, showcases the chops of a very promising metallic hardcore band. This is definitely a welcome and refreshing alternative to the increasingly formulaic and watered down metalcore scene.” – Metal Music Archives
“Lucid Skies is a great young hardworking band fusing aspects of metal and hardcore. I am really excited to see this band grow.” - John Kennedy, Promoter, Pawnshop Live
“Lucid Skies a serious threat of a band that is way more insane, forceful and drop-dead menacing then one can rightly picture. Disregard their mellow moniker obviously, but don’t disregard how wicked “Hounds” is! Lucid Skies brings to mind visions of everyone from Comeback Kid to Pantera (That is if Pantera had grown up listening to Agnostic Front!), but even so these four tear things up with a sound that more original then you initially realize until you’ve had the pleasure of streaming “Hounds” over and over!… four-tracks of dead-serious hardcore (raw and street-ready) with an acknowledgement that metal influences can enhance your material without making you come across as some bland metalcore outfit or making your style way too indebted to 80′s crossover. This one will be released pretty much everywhere from iTunes to Amazon (and even places like CD Baby) and it is not to be missed as it simply slays the dragon!!” – Heavy Metal Time Machine
“Short, angry, to-the fucken-point. Long on the urban aggression, short on composition. The kind of hardcore that makes you want to fucken grab a baseball bat and go to town and fucken bash in some heads from fools. This reminds me of early Pro-Pain, with that punky/melodic thing that Madball has – and screamed tough-guy vocals (and gang shouts) like Blood For Blood or Hatebreed.” – Flemming Gabin
