  • WARBRINGER at The Gramercy Theatre 05/31/22

WARBRINGER brought the war with them in order to warmed up the crowd for the following act, and that they did.

Its been a few occasions that we have got the pleasure to shoot them, even interview them before shows… since their early albums and now they were presenting their latest that got a little less live shows and promotion because of pandemic times.

They stood up high and here they were punishing the crowd with their thrash metal style that at times it gets into blast beats and all so believe when i say it: you have to listen to them, worth your time and money if you ever buy anything from them.

I’d like to see them little more often now that things are coming back or forth… not sure yet but for now we have live shows and we will love to see Warbringer on more of them.

btw… lights were super low and we were told to leave the pit at their second song so… this is what we experienced that night.

  • MAX & IGGOR ‘Return Beneath Arise’ at The Gramercy Theatre 05/31/22

Nostalgia. I guess the first concert i‘ve been  lately where i knew all the songs. I mean all of them, did not happened since some decades before.

It sounded close to perfect, i mean we are all human beings and the other half of that machine wasn’t there so it’s replacements did a hell of a job. But since you knew the songs by heart.. you felt the differences.

I could say that i would want them back together but that is not the case, because they are on two different paths and that would be something i don’t thing will ever happen. Both parts have their own life now and that’s it. It was great to see them after all these years, it shows why they are so important for so many people.

We only had the chance to shoot during one song from the pit only and of course lighting wasn’t meant for us… it is what it is. I took some more from the back of the venue and capture some videos. Find them on our channel on youtube.

  • LICH KING at LPRNYC 05/26/22

It's been a few years where i have been hearing the name Lich King. This time i got the chance to see them live.

It was a pretty awesome surprise as they were great. It remind me other bands of the same genre but that doesn’t mean they have less merits.

I did not know any song by them but i ended up headbanging a few times because of their well structured music. I hope to see them again soon.

  • EXCITER at LPRNYC 05/26/22

There are a few things i can say about have experienced Exciter the other night.

I guess the one that impressed me the most was their sound. It sounds as raw and pure as when they started. Unbelievable unaltered.

Drummer singer. That makes the band a unique deal, he ends a roll and with one hand fixes the mic stand giving that pause to the beat that creates the 80’s motion: Incredible… i don’t believe he designed it that way, it was more like the need to fix the mic stand to continue and that created the effect.

Guitar player, The younger member of the band brings that infusion of energy that we are used to see on stage now days plus he plays accordingly to the band makes him

    perfect for it.

Bass player, Solid AF. I mean for the first songs he was playing but it didn’t sound … they were only three people on stage.. where was his sound… until sound guy fixed mic out of the amp and boom… there he was.. huge solid impecable. It was his birthday so he was having a great time accompanied with his friend Jack D.

Phil Demmel of Vio-lence went on stage to play a couple of songs. He explained to the crowed why he loved the band. That sounded awesome too.

Loved the band as always have. Comeback please.

  • CORONER at LPRNYC 05/26/22

I knew Coroner since early 90’s and i never imagined that i would have the chance to see them live ever.

Here we were and boom a complex rhythms machine started to sound and the music was exactly how we heard it in tape.

They had a huge guitar sound, i mean one guitar player and he was huge, the drummer was a Swiss clock playing those unorthodox patterns and singer delivering the tone that we we knew from before.

It was a pleasure to see them.

Hope they are back again soon.
